How to write a perfect essay
Mistakes to avoid
Essays are usually a student’s worst fear. Not because they are hard, usually they are not, but because they have to be correct in all aspects. By keeping track of your information, and relaxing while working on your essay, they are not that hard. Always remember make it easy on yourself, and the job will be easier. This is even true when writing essays.
Do not bunch things together, organize them. When writing an essay, use your note pad as well as word. You can have two notepads open at once. Use one to store the bibliography, and one to store notes until you are ready to start writing.
Never put your bibliography on your paper until you are done with it. It causes a mess, and can cause you to lose information. When you read a book, view a website, or watch a video, record the information you want to use on a separate notepad. Then record the information of the resource on your bibliography notepad just as you would on your paper.
Grammar and style
Always check and recheck your grammar and style. This is a major area students get bad grades on essays. Most essays are writing in MLA style, but not all. Check your syllabus and with your instructor to make sure of the style they want, especially ion advanced Science, Journalism, and literature fields they may want a different style.
Grammar, make sure to get it checked after you check it. Using an online editing service, your school often has a service in the student’s service center, or a friend who is good at it. Never submit an essay without checking it, as it is always possible to miss something that can cost you grades.
Be sure of your Data
Make sure of your information. Everything from the way you write about a subject to your bibliography. When you write, make very sure of your word usage. When you put things in your own words, and use your own ideas, make sure they say what you want them to.
Make sure you are using good data, even if it is good, will your instructor accept it? Sometimes Instructor will not accept certain People no matter how valid that resource is, do not get caught by that. Talk to your instructor from time to time just to check to see if they have issues with sources.
